A mail ballot election was conducted by the New York State Public Employment Relations Board (Board) on March 27, 2012 for certain employees of the Monsignor Farrell High School in the following bargaining unit:

Included:   All full-time and part-time Lay Faculty including librarians and counselors.

Excluded:  Religious, supervisory and management employees.

     The Tally of Ballots issued at the close of the election shows that a majority of eligible voters choose to be represented, for the purpose of collective bargaining, by Federation of Catholic Teachers Office & Professional Employees, OPEIU Local 153 instead of Lay Faculty Association, LIUNA, AFL-CIO Local 1255.

     Angela M. Blassman, Administrative Law Judge, supervised the election.

     Parties have five working days from receipt of the Tally of Ballots to file objections to the conduct of the election or conduct affecting its results.  If none are filed, this matter will be further processed and brought before the Board at its next scheduled meeting.
