Three ECAC Hockey Teams in USCHO.Com Top-10

ALBANY, N.Y. --- Clarkson University skated to a pair of one goal wins against north country and conference rival St. Lawrence University, Friday and Saturday night, to take sole possession of second place in the ECAC Hockey standings.  The Golden Knights (13-1-3, 6-2-0) topped the Saints (8-8-2, 2-4-2) 5-4 and 1-0 and now trail front running Quinnipiac and Union, who each lead the conference with 14 points, by just two points.

The two victories also pushed Clarkson up two spots, to number-eight, in this week’s USCHO.Com division I men’s ice hockey poll.

The Bobcats (10-3-2, 7-1-0) skated to a 0-1-1 record last weekend and fell two spots to number seven this week. Quinnipiac rallied from a 2-0 first period deficit to tie 18th ranked RPI (8-5-3, 3-3-3) 3-3, Friday night, before falling to Union 6-4, the next evening.

The Dutchmen (10-3-2, 7-1-0) are riding a seven game winning streak and joined the poll’s top-10 for the first time this season, coming in at number-10.  Before topping Quinnipiac, they blanked Princeton (3-12-0, 2-8-0) 3-0, Friday.

Meanwhile, Cornell (7-4-2, 4-3-2) played just once last week skating to a two-all draw against Colgate (7-7-2, 5-3-1) Saturday night, but that result pushed the Big Red one spot to 14th.
